- Checks if a video has already been analyzed (via our API)
- Opens BrightClips.ai with the video URL when you click the button
2.2 Data Collection by the Extension
The extension collects:
- YouTube Video URL: Only when you click the "Analyze" button
- Video ID: Used to check if the video has been previously analyzed
The extension does NOT:
- Track your browsing history
- Collect personal information
- Store data locally on your device
- Access any data outside of YouTube video pages
- Run in the background or collect data when you're not on YouTube
2.3 Extension Permissions
- activeTab: Required to read the current YouTube video URL only when you click the analyze button
- host_permissions (youtube.com): Required to display the analyze button on YouTube video pages
2.4 Data Sharing
When you click "Analyze with BrightClips," the video URL is sent to BrightClips.ai for processing. This data is then handled according to the web application privacy practices described below.
